Evening Portrait

Very relaxed scene of a blonde hair girl sitting by the window with glass of red wine while her cute ginger cat sits staring out the window. This was a painting I did for the Irish television presenter, Kathryn Thomas. Her mother commissioned me to paint it for as a birthday present. In the street outside are some houses and an old stone wall like you would see in Inchicore, the home of Kathryn and also myself, as it happens. Of course, the picture doesn't really look much like Kathryn Thomas but it's just meant to represent her as it's painted in my style. By the way, the cat's name is Arthur and he is always calling into our house for a saucer of milk and a nap.

Kathryn is well known for her tv series, "No Frontiers" and now also for presenting "The Voice of Ireland" and "Operation Transformation"

For a look as close to the original painting as possible, then a canvas print can't be beaten. The original painting is scanned in high definition, it is then printed on high quality canvas and a coating of gel medium is brushed onto canvas to both protect and enhance the print. The canvas is then stretched over solid wood stretcher bars which are 40mm deep. Excellent value for money.
