A quiet meeting on the edge of the sea — a girl, a fox, and the feeling of a journey that stayed in the heart.

Last year I travelled to Japan and Kyoto took a special place in my heart. I visited Inariyama — the sacred mountain with thousands of orange torii gates and the foxes that guard the shrine. When I came home, that symbol stayed with me.

In this work, the landscape is not Japan. It is more like the Irish sea — grey sky, strong wind, and deep water. But the fox is the spirit I brought back from Kyoto: a quiet guardian, a messenger, a companion.
It is a little strange, yes — a fox by the sea — but myths are like this. They mix worlds, and they tell the truth in another way.
